Statement of the job: UMA Counseling Center is committed to creating a welcoming and inclusive environment for all students, staff, and faculty. The Clinical Mental Health Counselor provides direct services to students through short-term clinical counseling, crisis intervention, and referrals. In collaboration with other UMA student support staff, this position also serves as a consultant to various UMA constituents, including employees in the UMA housing department and UMA Centers, to support students' emotional and behavioral well-being.

Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in counseling, social work, or related discipline
- Ability to work weekend and evening hours as necessary
- Ability to participate in staff rotation of weekend/after-hours phone consultation for the UMA After Hours support line
- Ability to travel to any UMA location
- Clinical counseling license eligible
Preferred:
- Experience working with college students, especially students who are first-generation, low-income, and/or individuals with disabilities
- Experience with adult learners
- Experience delivering services for individuals with disabilities, tutoring, advising, or other student support services
Salary: The normal hiring salary range for this position is in the low to high $50's and is commensurate with training, education, and experience and will take into consideration the salary of current UMS employees for transfer/promotion.
