Tellers Essential Duties Include:
- Provide superior customer service by processing transactions accurately and efficiently in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Proactively identify customer needs and recommend financial products and services to consumer and small business customers.
- Act as Northway’s face to the customer and consistently seek to enhance our customers’ commitment by demonstrating a sincere desire to exceed their expectations.
- Ensure regulatory requirements, such as Anti-Money Laundering and Bank Secrecy Act, are adhered to. Contribute to a positive team environment in the branch through 360-degree coaching.
- Demonstrate Northway’s fundamental values and exhibit a positive commitment to the company’s objectives.
- Tellers may be required to work Saturday mornings and/or extended hours and regular, reliable attendance is critical. (The position described herein may be performed differently within a branch based on many factors including the size of the office, the number of transactions, and the experience and amount of staff.)
Tellers Responsibilities:
- Process transactions accurately and efficiently to build customer confidence and trust based on established policies and procedures.
- Act as an ambassador of the bank - smile and greet customers using established guidelines, and provide basic teller services.
- Build customer commitment through courtesy and friendliness, including addressing each customer by name. Identify customer needs and recommend the appropriate products and services.
Required Skills:
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Minimum of six months cash handling experience and customer service experience.
- Must be able to respond to inquiries or complaints from customers, answer inquiries and provide information to customers, perform written and verbal communications, and use a 10-key adding machine or keyboard.
Desired Skills:
- Previous cross-sales/referral experience and ability to identify clients’ financial goals and objectives; previous banking/financial services/teller experience as well as work in customer relations/sales field.
