Maintain resources

Engages program participants through direct contact and support

Directly encourages consumer voice

Coaches participants towards developing satisfying, hopeful and fulfilling lives as defined by the program participant

Develops and maintains effective working relationships with agency internal staff, NOE clinical staff and other collaborators as necessary

Actively participates in agency and external trainings

Actively participates in supervision with direct supervisor

Actively uses relevant aspects of motivational interviewing, life coaching, and peer support to engage participants

Complies with agency and contract policies

Clearly respects the need for participant confidentiality

Assist clients with wellness needs by encouraging healthy habits, i.e. quitting smoking, losing weight, health eating, etc.

Other duties as requested

Requirements

High School Diploma/G.E.D. required

Eligible to obtain Certified Intentional Peer Support Specialist (CIPSS) certification within 12 months of hire and maintain ongoing

Previous consumer of mental health and/or substance use recovery services, but not as a client of NOE's for previous 2 years

Previous peer support experience (paid or unpaid) is a plus

Valid drivers license and car insurance

Reliable transportation

Must be able to successfully pass background checks
