About Us

Waldoboro EMS was founded in 1969 to provide emergency care and transport to the residents of Waldoboro. Since then, we have grown to a Paramedic level service that serves the heart of mid-coast Maine for both emergency and transfer needs. Our call volume continues to grow, as we now serve the Town of Friendship, and the eastern portion of the Town of Jefferson.

Our current roster has 10 EMT's, 13 Advanced EMTs, and 10 Paramedics.

We offer community CPR and First Aid courses through the American Heart Association,  and also provide speakers if you have any civic group that would like a presentation.  Waldoboro EMS participates with Lincoln County Healthcare (LCH) in the Community Paramedicine program, providing simple out-patient services are requested by LCH doctors.
