Pittsfield is a multi-faceted community with much to offer. There is something for everyone here as evidenced by recent reviews of the community since 2012. In August 2012, Pittsfield was certified by the State of Maine as business friendly. learn to ski; and seven community parks for families to enjoy. It is easy to see why we are known as a very family friendly community.

The Town of Pittsfield serves as a regional employment center offering over 2,000 jobs through several major corporations and nearly 200 smaller businesses. With many historic buildings, the beautiful Maine Central Institute campus, our own Community Theatre and one of the largest community festivals in the region - the Central Maine Egg Festival - Pittsfield is interesting and unique! With all of these amazing assets, we must never forget that our greatest asset are our volunteers - literally hundreds of citizens and businesses donating countless hours to benefit the community, its schools and recreational programs.
