When you’ve been in business for over 150 years, you learn a lot. From our beginning in 1866 as a prescription apothecary shop, founders Augustus G. Schlotterbeck and Charles S. Foss earned a reputation for quality handcrafted products and fair dealings. They maintained these principles when they moved on to develop patented medicines and flavoring extracts in the 20th century.

In the 21st century we have kept with tradition and emerged as a leader in the private label, premium sauces, marinade and condiments’ space. Our core competency in product development supports our proprietary small batch manufacturing capabilities, resulting in marquee specialty foods. Our unmatched product development, using our selection of organic, clean label and non-GMO ingredients allows us to offer highly differentiated, innovative products that drive consumer loyalty.

Through the evolution of the company we have not changed our high standards, attention to detail and quality products. Our fudges are made of the finest Dutch cocoas and our coffees from specialty roasted beans grown around the world. The fruits and vegetables in our sauces and salsas are the freshest available and, whenever possible, organic. The seasonings and spices we choose for our dressings, grilling sauces, mustards and marinades are all-natural.
