About Us
Day One has been a leading provider of State-wide substance use services for over 45 years and has built a strong reputation for its unique focus on youth-based care. Following its successful merger with SMART Child and Family Services this past October, the Agency is positioned to offer the most complete continuum of services for youth and families to better meet the multigenerational substance use and mental health treatment needs of Maine families. This continuum includes the State’s only adolescent substance use residential program as well as psychiatric medication management, office and school-based therapy, case management and health home teams, corrections based services, adult MAT and homeless youth services.
