About Us
ChIME (the Chaplaincy Institute of Maine) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that educates and ordains Interfaith Chaplains. We offer a two-year interfaith program for students seeking to deepen their spiritual growth and practice and/or seeking ordination as interfaith ministers. Our unique program includes deep personal work, the study of world religions, the support of a spiritual companion and mentor, and 300 hours of community service through a volunteer placement and internship. Our students come from all faith backgrounds and traditions, including atheist.
