About Us
*Castle in the Clouds is a historic mountaintop estate located in Moultonborough, NH that overlooks the state's beautiful Lakes Region! *Located on the National Register of Historic Places, we are open seasonally from May through October offering mansion tours, lake-view dining, programs and events, hiking trails, waterfalls, and vistas. We have nearly 40,000 guests each year that come from all over the world to visit the Lucknow mansion - a truly unique home built in 1914 in the Arts & Crafts style that is technologically advanced for its time - dine, explore wooded trails, take in the stunning views, and more. We also host weddings and private events! Castle in the Clouds is operated by the Castle Preservation Society, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization dedicated to preserve, interpret and share the buildings and landscape of Castle in the Clouds as a cultural resource for the benefit of the public. All revenue we earn goes right back into the preservation of this special place.

** Working at Castle in the Clouds means supporting our non-profit mission to preserve this mountainside treasure for future generations. **This rewarding feeling is accompanied by the opportunity to interact with guests from all locations, and each of our staff help to make the guest experience special. All team members receive unlimited free admission to the mansion, guest passes, and 30% off in the restaurant, café, and gift shop. Spend your spring, summer and fall with us amidst the beauty of this historic estate, have fun, and contribute to something important to our nation's history and culture. We have part-time, full-time, year-round, seasonal, and internship positions available! As a non-profit we rely heavily on volunteers, as well, and are always accepting new volunteers.
