All families should remain together when it's safe to do so. That’s why we provide the Homebuilders™ program to families at risk of separation due to neglect, substance use, family conflict, and other issues.

What is the Homebuilders program?

All families should remain together whenever possible. That’s why Bethany provides the Homebuilders® program to keep families together when they’re at risk of separation due to neglect, substance use, family conflict, and other issues.

Homebuilders is an evidence-based model that provides intensive, in-home crisis intervention, counseling, relapse prevention, and life-skills/parenting education for families who have children at imminent risk of placement in state-funded care or need intensive services to return home from foster care, group or residential treatment, psychiatric hospitals, or juvenile justice facilities.

It is the oldest and best-documented Intensive Family Preservation Services (IFPS) program in the U.S. Child safety is ensured through small caseloads, program intensity, and 24-hour-a-day service availability. Over 90% of the families who complete the program are able to keep their child(ren) home safely instead of in out-of-home care.
